Most of us will require a blood transfusion at some point in our lives. To meet patients' needs for blood and blood components, the West Tennessee Regional Blood Center/Lifeline Blood Services requires approximately 500 donors each week. Last year, patients in the West Tennessee hospitals supplied by Lifeline, required over 27,000 units of blood by volunteer donors.
